Poster Guidelines
Digital Submission Requirements
All poster presenters must provide an A4-sized PDF version of their poster for inclusion on the conference website and mobile app.
- Upload your file to Dropbox no later than Friday 31 October.
- Ensure the file is resized to A4 to keep the upload manageable.
- If your poster was created with digital layers, please flatten the image before saving as a PDF to further reduce file size.
Onsite Poster Requirements
- Posters will be displayed throughout the conference.
- Posters must be printed on high quality paper (no material/cloth).
- Maximum size: ISO A0 (1189mm x 841mm) in PORTRAIT format only.
- When creating your file, set the digital canvas size to the intended print size (e.g. A0, A1) to avoid resolution issues.
Image Permissions and Acknowledgements
Presenters are responsible for:

Delivery, Set up & Pack Down
Early Delivery: Posters may be sent in advance (no earlier than 27 November) to:

Onsite Delivery: If not sending ahead, please deliver your poster to the Registration Desk upon arrival. Posters will be hung by the conference team.
Pack Down: Posters must be dismantled on Friday 5 December, following the Poster Session. Any posters remaining after 6pm will be discarded. Please note: organisers cannot accept responsibility for storing or returning posters.
Poster Session
- Poster presenters are expected to attend the Poster Session on Friday 5 December to discuss their poster and answer delegate questions.
- Best Poster Awards will be presented at the Conference Dinner on Friday 5 December.
Pre-Recorded Presentation (New for 2025)
Poster presenters now have the option to submit a 3-5 minute pre-recorded presentation of their poster.
- File format: MP4
- Upload with your digital submission to Dropbox by Friday 31 October.
- Presentations will be available on the conference website and mobile app.
Presentation Protocols
All presenters are reminded of the AAA’s Code of Ethics regarding the presentation of data and/or interpretations relating to Indigenous culture. Presenters must ensure free, prior and informed consent has been obtained from Indigenous collaborators and/or data custodians before presenting such material, whether as a spoken paper or poster.
Breaches of the AAA Code of Ethics may result in disciplinary action, including expulsion of members under Section 32 of the Constitution.
