Submissions are now invited for proposed sessions, particularly those that speak to the conference theme. Session proposals can be from any field of archaeological inquiry, including Indigenous archaeology, historical archaeology, cultural heritage management, rock art studies, maritime archaeology, archaeological science, and public archaeology.<\/p>\n
Session organisers are asked to provide a title and abstract (up to 200 words) for the proposed session, with an estimate of the number of individual sessions requested. All individual sessions will run for 2 hours and include 6 presentations. All papers will strictly be 20 minutes in duration (15 mins speaking + 5 mins question time). Speakers may only present one paper during the conference, although they may be co-authors on other papers.<\/p>\n
Session organisers must be AAA members or have an exemption accepted by the conference committee. To limit the number of parallel sessions, the conference committee will combine similar themes where necessary and will strive to achieve the widest possible diversity of session themes.<\/p>\n

These protocols require all Session Organisers and paper presenters to ensure that full prior and informed consent to collect, record, and present data and interpretations relating to Indigenous cultural materials is obtained from Indigenous collaborators and\/or owners of data before any paper is accepted into a session and subsequently presented at the conference, as either a spoken paper or poster.
